Full Day Chalten

With a hike on the Mirador de los Cóndores and Águilas trails plus the Mirador de El Chorrillo trail. Departure from El Calafate at about 8:30 in the morning to El Chaltén, which is about 220 km away. The road itself is already a great attraction where stops will be made: we travel along the majestic Route 40, surrounded by Patagonian steppe, we border Lake Argentino, we cross the beautiful Santa Cruz River, then continue to the La Leona River, where we travel through its canyon until we arrive, after 1 hour and 15 minutes, at the historic hotel on route Paso La Leona (almost a museum), where you can make a technical stop to know and have a coffee, We will continue to the historic hotel Paso La Leona (almost a museum of Route 40), where you can make a technical stop, to know and have a coffee with homemade cakes, from there we will continue along Lake Viedma – having the Andes Mountains in the background (including the Fitz Roy and the Torre). Before reaching the town we will stop at the viewpoint of the Viedma Glacier from where you can appreciate a beautiful panoramic view of the Glacier, the Cordillera and the emblematic Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. We will arrive at the mountain village of El Chaltén after 3 hours of travel, having covered 220 kms. We will make stops at various scenic points before reaching El Chaltén. This small town has been consecrated as the National Capital of Trekking, which is why year after year thousands of travelers from all over the world converge in search of its magnificent trails and its incredible panoramic points. Upon arrival in El Chaltén, we head to the visitor and interpretation center of Los Glaciares National Park to listen to a brief introduction of the place and then begin the 80-minute hike of the Mirador de los Cóndores y de las Águilas trail. Later in vehicle we will go to the beginning of the Mirador del Salto del Chorrillo trail and you will have time to appreciate the scenery and take pictures and then from there we will start our return, around 6:00 pm we will return to the hotel in El Calafate.
